Common questions

Printed tattoos sit on the skin under a thin film and last 2–5 days; jagua is an ink that bonds with the top layer of skin — no film, no shine — and lasts one to two weeks. It's also one colour only: a deep blue-black. If you need brand colours, gold, glitter or an instant result, choose one of our printed finishes.

No — and plan for it. Right after application the design is faint; it darkens over 24–48 hours into a deep blue-black. For a one-evening event where guests must leave with a visible tattoo, choose a printed finish. For campaigns, festivals, staff and ambassador programmes, this is the point: the tattoo appears the next day and stays for two weeks.

One to two weeks depending on placement and skin type — longest on forearms, calves and shoulders. It fades on its own as the skin renews. It cannot be washed off early; exfoliating speeds the fade but won't remove it in a day. Tell people that before they wear it.

Logos, lettering, line art, icons — black on white, clean lines of 0.5 mm or more. Gradients, photos, fine hatching and very small text don't hold. We check every file before production and suggest a version that will.

Jagua ink is coloured by a fruit (Genipa americana), PPD-free and CPNP registered. A July 2025 study in the British Journal of Dermatology reported rare allergic reactions to jagua: we recommend a patch test 24 hours before, and not applying it to anyone allergic to tropical fruits.

Yes. On darker skin the stain reads as a deep blue-black, most visible on hands, forearms and inner arms.

Yes, two ways, exactly as for our printed tattoos. Several designs on one sheet: choose A6, A5 or A4 and lay them out with at least 5 mm between them — the sheet ships as one piece, each motif to cut out. Or several formats: add separate orders to your cart, we ship them together.

One year. Order for the season, distribute across several dates — a batch bought in April still works in August. Keep them in their packaging, away from direct sun and heat.
