Never worn a tattoo before? Start here. Simple tattoos are designs that suit almost everyone and don't ask for a big decision: a heart, a wave, a small flower, an arrow, a word or two. Clear shapes, little shading, nothing that needs explaining.
Why simple works for a first try
A clear motif answers the real questions fast. Do you enjoy seeing ink on your wrist every morning? Does the ankle feel like you, or would the shoulder suit you better? Wear it for a week or two and you'll know, with zero commitment. Plenty of people test two or three spots before settling on one, and our small tattoos come in sizes that make that easy.
Easy to live with
Simple tattoos fit with office clothes, gym gear and weekend plans alike, and they never fight with jewelry or a watch. Each one is printed in jagua ink and goes on in under two minutes: place it, wet the back, press, peel. It starts out pale, darkens to blue-black within 24 to 36 hours, then stays waterproof until it fades on its own, usually within one to two weeks. Hands and feet lose color sooner than the forearm or shoulder.
Simple isn't quite the same as minimalist. Minimalist is a graphic style built on clean lines and negative space; simple is about ease. If that graphic look is what draws you, explore minimalist tattoos. If you'd rather your first motif carry a meaning, the symbol collection is a good next step.
