Script and cursive tattoos: handwriting that lasts up to two weeks
Cursive is the classic for a reason — a flowing script makes even a single word feel personal, like something written rather than printed. It's also the style where mistakes cost the most: too fine, and permanent script blurs within a few years. Which makes it the perfect style to test first. Every design here is jagua ink: it develops blue-black in your skin, wears for one to two weeks, and disappears on its own.
What script does that block letters can't
A cursive line moves with the body — along a forearm, following a collarbone, curving over the ribs. That's why script suits longer words and short phrases: the flow does half the aesthetic work. For punchier single words in bolder type, the lettering collection is the sister family; for a single flourished character, look at initials and monograms.
Test your own handwriting
The most personal version of a script tattoo is your own hand — or someone else's. A note from a parent, a signature, a word written by someone you love: upload it as a custom jagua tattoo and wear the real thing for up to two weeks. It's the only honest way to know whether fine script works on your skin before it's permanent.
Quick answers
Does fine cursive stay legible? In jagua, yes — it's a contrast question, not a blurring one. A one-to-two-week test run is precisely how you find out whether the same script would hold as a permanent piece.
Where does script look best? Inner forearm for phrases (flat, visible, roomy), wrist for one word, ribs for something private. The flow of the lettering should follow the line of the body part.
