Jagua gel — 10 ml tube

Why this gel?

~8 tattoos per tube

8 medium (8-10 cm), up to 20 small (3-5 cm) or 3 large designs. One tube = a whole summer of experimentation.

In the skin, not on it

Genipin bonds with your skin. No film, no sticker. A blue-black result identical to a real tattoo.

2-year shelf life

In the freezer: 2 years. In the fridge: 3 months. Can be frozen and thawed several times.

Colour from the fruit

Genipa americana fruit juice is the only colourant. No synthetic dyes, zero PPD.

The colour develops within 48 hours

When you rinse off the gel, the tattoo is light grey. This is normal. The genipin oxidises gradually. Within 24 to 48 hours, the deep blue-black colour appears.

Don't panic if it looks pale at first. That's how you know it's working.

How to use the gel — 5 steps

Prep the skin

Clean with soap and water, no lotion. A light exfoliation beforehand improves stain quality.

Draw

Screw on the applicator and press gently. Freehand or using a stencil.

Leave to dry

Let it dry (up to 1 hour), then leave it on for 2.5 to 4 hours. Not overnight: it won't get any darker, it'll just smudge.

Rinse

With lukewarm water. The tattoo will appear light grey — this is normal.

Wait 48 hours

The blue-black colour develops gradually. Be patient.

Yes. Jagua bonds with skin proteins regardless of melanin — the chemistry doesn't change with skin tone. On deeper skin, the blue-black reads as a rich charcoal. Use bold designs with strong outlines for the cleanest result. See our guide to jagua across skin tones →

The tube contains the gel and the applicator — the essentials for applying the design. The kits include stencils, gloves, transfer sheets and a printed guide. The kit is ideal if it’s your very first time or if you want to apply the design in a group.

The gel complies with the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. No PPD, no synthetic dyes. If you have a known allergy to tropical fruits (mango, papaya, kiwi), do a patch test on a small area 48 hours beforehand. Safety guide →
