Pincers up, tail curled over the back: few animals keep their outline as clearly as a scorpion, whether it sits small on a wrist or spreads across a shoulder blade. Each scorpion here is printed to develop in blue-black.
Styles you’ll find here
- Tribal: compact, spiky shapes for the ankle, the inner wrist or the back of the neck.
- Solid silhouette: a filled body with the claws spread wide.
- Scorpion and rose: illustrative linework that pairs the animal with a single bloom.
- Brushstroke: a scorpion seen from above inside one sweeping stroke of ink, sized for the forearm, the calf or the upper back.
Want something discreet? Keep it small. Want it noticed? The tribal and brushstroke designs read from across a room. Many people see the scorpion as a picture of resilience, a small creature that gets through harsh conditions and keeps moving. Others just like the shape.
You’ll also spot the ♏ glyph here, and every other astrological sign has a place in our Scorpio and zodiac sign tattoos. Rather have a web-spinner than a stinger? Try our spider tattoos.
How they wear
Each scorpion tattoo is printed with jagua ink, which develops in the top layer of skin instead of sitting on the surface like a sticker. Putting one on takes no more than two minutes. Right afterward it looks pale. That’s normal: over 24 to 48 hours it darkens to blue-black. Keep it away from water and rubbing for 8 hours; from then on it’s waterproof through showers, swims and workouts. It lasts up to two weeks, less on hands and feet, which get washed and rubbed the most. No PPD, and vegan.
Still deciding where a permanent one would go? Wear a temporary scorpion tattoo first and check the size and placement. Drew your own scorpion? We can print it as a custom tattoo, minimum 3 copies.
