Sun Tattoos

Some people want a sun tattoo for the beach trip; others want one in the middle of February. Either way, there's range. On the minimal end you'll find dashed and outlined sunbursts, simple rayed suns and one-line drawings where the sun meets the horizon. Go bolder and there are dotwork suns, engraved suns with old-print shading and tribal suns. Then come the scenes, where the sun shares the frame with the sea, the mountains or something in bloom. Suns also turn up as one element in larger celestial compositions.
July or February, the result looks the same: blue-black, convincingly real and gone within one to two weeks. If the moon matters as much as the sun, head to our sun and moon pairs; for a quieter look, minimalist tattoos keeps things small.
