Some designs are meant to be noticed only when someone leans in. Our tiny tattoos keep things as small as they go: a single star on a finger, a heartbeat line on the inner wrist, an initial behind the ear. Call them mini or micro tattoos if you like; the idea is the same, a mark that feels closer to jewelry than to artwork.
Mini designs, one sheet at a time
Many motifs come grouped on a single sheet, so you can line a few along your knuckles, place one behind each ear or split the sheet with a friend. Stars, hearts, flowers, animals and little doodles mix easily, and mixing them is half the fun.
Where a tiny design makes sense
Fingers, the inner wrist, behind the ear, the ankle bone, just below the collarbone. Keep in mind that hands, fingers and feet are washed and rubbed all day, so the color fades faster there than on the shoulder or nape. Need a bit more canvas for detail? Switch to small tattoos. For motifs drawn specifically for the hand, see finger tattoos.
The ink is jagua. It goes on in under two minutes, looks faint at first and turns blue-black within 24 to 48 hours. Once developed, it shrugs off showers and the pool, then fades by itself in one to two weeks. Weighing a permanent micro tattoo? Tiny tattoos like these are an honest test of size and spot.
And if a cleaner, graphic look is more your thing, the minimalist collection is next door.
