Jagua Gel — 100 ml Refill Pouch

$65.00

Why this gel?

~80 tattoos per pouch

About 80 medium designs (3-4 in), up to 200 small ones, or 10 full-hand mehndi pieces. Enough for a full summer season or a busy event

60% cheaper per ml

$0.66/ml vs $1.65/ml for a single tube. If you know you'll use it, the math is obvious.

In the skin, not on it

Genipin bonds with your skin — no film, no sticker, no shiny residue. The result is a deep blue-black that looks identical to real tattoo ink.

100% jagua fruit

Genipa americana fruit juice, squalane, xanthan gum. That's it. Zero chemicals, zero PPD, zero synthetic anything.

The colour develops within 48 hours

When you rinse off the gel, the tattoo is light grey. This is normal. The genipin oxidises gradually. Within 24 to 48 hours, the deep blue-black colour appears.

Don't panic if it looks pale at first. That's how you know it's working.

How to use the gel — 5 steps

Dispense

Transfer gel into a cone, applicator bottle, or squeeze tube. Wear gloves — jagua stains skin (and countertops) fast.

Prep the skin

Wash the area with soap and water — no lotion, no oils. A quick exfoliation before applying makes the stain darker and last longer.

Draw

Screw on the fine-tip applicator and squeeze gently. Go freehand or trace over a stencil — whatever feels right.

Leave to dry

Leave it on for 2 to 3 hours. The longer you leave it, the darker the result. Some people leave it on overnight for max intensity.

Rinse and wait

Warm water. The tattoo starts grey — full blue-black develops in 24–48 hours.

Everything you need to know

Genipa Americana Fruit Juice, Squalane, Xanthan Gum, Acacia Senegal Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

All ingredients are naturally derived. Formula meets EU cosmetic safety standards (EC 1223/2009) — the strictest cosmetic regulation in the world. Dermatologist tested. Made in Europe.

  • 1× resealable pouch of jagua gel (100 ml)

Note: This is a refill pouch — no applicators or cones included. You'll need your own cone, squeeze bottle, or applicator to transfer the gel. Already have one from a kit or tube? You're all set.

Jagua gel is a fresh product. Upon receipt:

  • Freezer (0 °F): up to 2 years without loss of quality
  • Fridge: up to 3 months
  • Room temperature: 30 days maximum

You can freeze and thaw it multiple times without losing quality. Pull it out of the freezer 30 minutes before you plan to use it and let it come to room temp. Full storage guide →

  • Shipping: 5 to 10 business days to the US from our European workshop. Free on orders over $75.
  • Returns: Jagua gel is a fresh, perishable product — all sales are final. Issue with your order? We'll take care of it. Full return policy →

Important: the gel ships at room temperature. Put it in the freezer as soon as it arrives to keep it fresh.

This pouch is for people who already know they like jagua and want more: regular users who've moved past the tube stage, henna and body art artists adding jagua to their services, anyone running a group session — birthday party, bachelorette, team building, workshop.

Never tried jagua before? Start with a 10 ml tube — it comes with an applicator and is ready to use out of the box.

Frequently Asked Questions

About 80 medium designs (3-4 in), up to 200 small ones, or 10 full-hand mehndi pieces. Depends on line thickness and how detailed your designs are.

Yes — this is a refill pouch, not a ready-to-use tube. Transfer the gel into your own cone, squeeze bottle, or fine-tip applicator. If you still have one from a kit or tube, it works perfectly. We also sell kits with applicators if you need one.

Absolutely. Freeze the whole pouch, or — better move — portion it into smaller containers first and freeze those individually. The gel stays good for 2 years at 0 °F. Pull one out 30 minutes before you need it.

7 to 15 days depending on where you put it, your skin type, and how much you wash/exfoliate the area. Arms and shoulders hold the longest. Hands and fingers fade fastest. Learn more →

Identical. Same formula, same INCI list, same stain. The only difference is the packaging — a resealable pouch instead of a tube with a built-in tip.

Yes. The gel is dermatologist tested, PPD-free, and contains zero synthetic dyes. It meets EU cosmetic safety standards — the strictest in the world. If you have allergies to tropical fruits (berries, kiwi, strawberries), do a patch test on a small area 48 hours before going full design. Full safety guide →
