Lettering tattoos: words that look tattooed, without the commitment
Word tattoos are having their moment — a single word on the wrist, a name along the collarbone, a short phrase down the ribs. The catch: text is the tattoo style people regret most, because words age faster than images. These lettering tattoos are the honest workaround. Jagua ink, realistic blue-black, one to two weeks of wear, gone on its own.
What's in the collection
Ready-to-apply designs: single words and mantras, short phrases that fit on one line, decorated letters, and handwritten styles that look like your own pen. Every piece applies at home in under two minutes and develops in the skin — not on it — which is why it survives showers and reads as real ink up close.
Choosing between styles
The rule of thumb: fine cursive script reads intimate and suits wrists and collarbones; clean block lettering carries better at a distance and on forearms. If it's just one or two characters you're after, the initial and letter designs are the minimal end of this family.
Your word, your font
If the word you want isn't here — a name, a date, a phrase in your own handwriting — the custom jagua tattoo takes your exact design and prints it in the same ink. Up to two weeks of real-life testing before you sit in a tattoo chair.
Quick answers
Which style holds up best? Bolder lettering keeps its edges longest. Very fine script stays legible but fades sooner on spots that get washed and rubbed all day, like hands and fingers.
How small can lettering go? Below about 5 mm letter height, words start reading as a line rather than text. When in doubt, size up one notch.
