Jagua Gel — 1 Liter Pro Pouch

$359.00

Why this gel?

~800 tattoos

About 800 medium designs, 2,000+ small ones, or roughly 100 full-hand pieces. That's a full festival weekend, an entire market season, or months of steady client work.

Fill 50 cones in one batch

Each cone holds about 20 ml — that's 4-5 medium tattoos per cone. Label them, freeze them, pull one per appointment. Assembly-line efficiency for working artists.

In the skin, not on it

Genipin bonds with your skin — no film, no sticker, no shiny residue. The result is a deep blue-black that looks identical to real tattoo ink.

100% jagua fruit

Genipa americana fruit juice, squalane, xanthan gum. That's it. Zero chemicals, zero PPD, zero synthetic anything.

The colour develops within 48 hours

When you rinse off the gel, the tattoo is light grey. This is normal. The genipin oxidises gradually. Within 24 to 48 hours, the deep blue-black colour appears.

Don't panic if it looks pale at first. That's how you know it's working.

How to use the gel — 5 steps

Batch your cones

Wear gloves. Fill your cones or applicator bottles from the pouch — each cone takes about 20 ml, so you'll get roughly 50 cones per liter.

Freeze

Store filled cones in the freezer at 0 °F. They stay fresh for up to 2 years. Pull one out 30 minutes before your session.

Prep the skin

Wash the area with soap and water — no lotion, no oils. A quick exfoliation before applying makes the stain darker and last longer.

Draw

Screw on the fine-tip applicator and squeeze gently. Go freehand or trace over a stencil — whatever feels right.

Rinse and advise

Rinse with warm water. Let your client know: it'll look light gray at first — the full blue-black develops over the next 24-48 hours. Share aftercare instructions before they leave.

Everything you need to know

Genipa Americana Fruit Juice, Squalane, Xanthan Gum, Acacia Senegal Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

All ingredients are naturally derived. Formula meets EU cosmetic safety standards (EC 1223/2009) — the strictest cosmetic regulation in the world. Dermatologist tested. Made in Europe.

  • 1× resealable pouch of jagua gel (1000 ml / 1 litre)

Note: This is a bulk refill pouch — cones, applicators and tips are not included. You'll need your own dispensing tools to transfer the gel before use.

With a full litre, proper storage is essential:

  • Best practice: Fill your cones or containers the day the pouch arrives, then freeze everything at 0 °F. Don't leave the full pouch sitting at room temperature — portion it first and freeze.
  • Freezer (0 °F): up to 2 years — whether as the full pouch or in pre-filled cones
  • Fridge: up to 3 months (opened or unopened)
  • Room temperature: 30 days max

Multiple freeze-thaw cycles are fine, but portioning first saves time and preserves quality. Full storage guide →

  • Shipping: 5 to 10 business days to the US from our European workshop. Free on orders over $75.
  • Returns: Jagua gel is a fresh, perishable product — all sales are final. Issue with your order? We'll take care of it. Full return policy →

Important: the gel ships at room temperature. Put it in the freezer as soon as it arrives to keep it fresh.

The 1 liter pouch is for professional body artists and event organizers who need gel at scale: henna and jagua artists adding a new service to their menu, event companies running temporary tattoo stations at festivals or corporate events, workshop hosts and craft retreat organizers, and anyone who's been reordering the 100 ml pouch every month.

Not a pro? The 100 ml pouch or a 10 ml tube is probably a better starting point.

Yes. The gel is dermatologist tested, PPD-free, and fully compliant with EU cosmetic safety standards — the most rigorous in the world. We recommend having clients do a patch test 48 hours before their appointment, especially if they have known allergies to tropical fruits. Check your state's regulations on body art products and keep your liability documentation up to date.

Identical. Same INCI, same consistency, same stain quality. The 10 ml tubes, 100 ml pouches and this 1 litre pouch all contain the same gel. No dilution, no reformulation at larger volumes.

Fill your cones or small containers on the day you receive it, then freeze everything. Don't leave the full pouch at room temperature — portion it first. Frozen gel keeps for up to 2 years. See our storage guide for step-by-step instructions.
